About
Fred Henne Territorial Park is located 3 km outside the city of Yellowknife. Offering 75 powered sites, and 40 non-powered sites (including nine tent pads), all equipment types can be accommodated. The campground is on the shore of Long Lake, with a beautiful sandy beach and boat launch providing the opportunity to enjoy a variety of water activities. The 4 km Prospector’s Trail is accessible from the park and highlights the gold bearing geology of the area. Across the road from the park, visitors can access a trail system winding around Yellowknife lakes, linking different parts of the city. There are also three kitchen shelters available for reservation providing a unique experience for group events. Kitchen shelters can accommodate up to 60 people and offer various amenities including indoor and deck seating, semi-private beach and washroom access.
Is Fred Henne Territorial Park fully booked?
A campground showing no availability is almost never full for good. People cancel — plans change, weather turns, someone books three weekends and keeps one — and the site goes straight back into the booking system, usually without warning and often at odd hours. The reason sold-out campgrounds feel impossible is not that sites never free up; it is that nobody is watching at the moment they do.
CampHawk watches Fred Henne Territorial Park in Yellowknife, NT for you. We recheck it every 15 seconds, around the clock, and the moment a site opens we send a text, an email and a push notification, with a link straight to the booking page.
