Graves Island Provincial Park

October 2026
About
Joined to the mainland by a short causeway, the island is typical of many of the small islands found along Nova Scotia's Atlantic coast. This quiet ocean-side campground has long been a popular vacation spot for Nova Scotians and visitors alike. The campground is an excellent base for outdoor adventures including ocean kayaking and biking along the South Shore as well as day tripping to the area's many attractions. The park offers a 95-site campground (14 Wooded; 81 Open), comfort station (showers and flush toilets), dishwashing station, picnic area, unsupervised swimming area, boat launch, and a walking trail. Serviced and Unserviced sites are offered. Water taps and vault toilets are conveniently located throughout the campground. Located on Route 3, it is 5 km (3 mi.) east of the village of Chester and about 6 km (4 mi.) west of Exit 7 on the Highway 103.

Is Graves Island Provincial Park fully booked?
A campground showing no availability is almost never full for good. People cancel — plans change, weather turns, someone books three weekends and keeps one — and the site goes straight back into the booking system, usually without warning and often at odd hours. The reason sold-out campgrounds feel impossible is not that sites never free up; it is that nobody is watching at the moment they do.
CampHawk watches Graves Island Provincial Park in East Chester, NS for you. We recheck it every 15 seconds, around the clock, and the moment a site opens we send a text, an email and a push notification, with a link straight to the booking page.
Searching is free and needs no account — the calendar above is live right now. Watching Graves Island Provincial Park for cancellations is the paid part.
