About

Day Use - A daily vehicle permit (DVP) is a great way to explore Bonnechere for the day. It includes entry to the park for one vehicle and its passengers and includes access to the park for all day use activities. Make some wonderful outdoor memories at Bonnechere while swimming, hiking, biking, fishing or having a picnic.

The park has a beautiful sandy beach with buoyed swimming area, boardwalk and shady areas with picnic tables. There are no lifeguards posted at the beach.

Tall Pines Campground is set among some spectacular White Pine trees that have survived the logging days. These campsites can accommodate equipment ranging from tents only to large trailers; many of which offer electrical hook up.

River Loop Campground can accommodate tents only and small trailers. Many of the campsites are located along the Bonnechere River, providing direct access to water activities such as boating, canoeing, fishing and wildlife viewing. Electrical sites are not provided in this campground.

Sandy Flats Campground is a radio-free and can accommodate tents and small trailers. It has a centrally located mini-comfort station which provides pedal flush toilets and showers. Electrical sites are not provided in this campground.

Parking - please note only one vehicle is permitted to be parked on all campsites. Additional vehicles must purchase a permit at the park store and park off-site in a designated parking area.

Getting around on foot - Tall Pines and River Loop Campgrounds are within a five-minute walk to the beach, the Visitor Centre and Park Store while Sandy Flats is a 10-minute walk to these amenities.

Amenities - All campgrounds provide access to a central comfort station, laundry facilities and water taps.

Roofed Accommodations - Bonnechere has 1 cottage (Pine Shores) located on Round Lake, and 3 rustic cabins found on the shores of the Bonnechere River (Fallen Tree, River Watch, Sandbar).

Is Bonnechere Provincial Park fully booked?

A campground showing no availability is almost never full for good. People cancel — plans change, weather turns, someone books three weekends and keeps one — and the site goes straight back into the booking system, usually without warning and often at odd hours. The reason sold-out campgrounds feel impossible is not that sites never free up; it is that nobody is watching at the moment they do.

CampHawk watches Bonnechere Provincial Park in Killaloe, ON for you. We recheck it every 15 seconds, around the clock, and the moment a site opens we send a text, an email and a push notification, with a link straight to the booking page.

Searching is free and needs no account — the calendar above is live right now. Watching Bonnechere Provincial Park for cancellations is the paid part.
