Hay River Territorial Park

October 2026
About
Located on Vale Island in the town of Hay River, the campground is on the shore of the Great Slave Lake. Offering 43 powered campsites as well as a powered 22 site group camping area, the campground can accommodate a range of equipment types.
Park amenities include showers, coin laundry, a playground, beach access and hiking trails. The park also has a picnic shelter available for reservation and a fully accessible campsite (A3).
Visitors can enjoy the sandy beach, excellent swimming, a range of water activities, unique viewing of cargo barges and fishing vessels, and great opportunities to fish for pickerel and northern pike.
Is Hay River Territorial Park fully booked?
A campground showing no availability is almost never full for good. People cancel — plans change, weather turns, someone books three weekends and keeps one — and the site goes straight back into the booking system, usually without warning and often at odd hours. The reason sold-out campgrounds feel impossible is not that sites never free up; it is that nobody is watching at the moment they do.
CampHawk watches Hay River Territorial Park in NT for you. We recheck it every 15 seconds, around the clock, and the moment a site opens we send a text, an email and a push notification, with a link straight to the booking page.
Searching is free and needs no account — the calendar above is live right now. Watching Hay River Territorial Park for cancellations is the paid part.
