About

Nestled between two lakes in the heart of southern Nova Scotia, this park offers walking trails in a hardwood setting, canoeing, swimming, and camping for all those who like to enjoy the outdoors. The quiet beauty of nature is evident everywhere. The shoreline holds some of Nova Scotia's rare plants, and the lakes have both brown and speckled trout, chain pickerel, and Atlantic salmon. The park offers an 87-site campground (86 Wooded; 1 Open), comfort station (showers and flush toilets), dishwashing station, two picnic areas, boat launch, a supervised beach, and a hiking trail. Serviced and Unserviced sites are offered. Water taps and vault toilets are conveniently located throughout the campground. Located just 20 km (12 mi.) northeast of Yarmouth and 5 km (3 mi.) south of Deerfield. Exit 34 off Highway 101, proceed 11 km (7 mi.) along Route 340. Follow signs to the park entrance.

Is Ellenwood Lake Provincial Park fully booked?

A campground showing no availability is almost never full for good. People cancel — plans change, weather turns, someone books three weekends and keeps one — and the site goes straight back into the booking system, usually without warning and often at odd hours. The reason sold-out campgrounds feel impossible is not that sites never free up; it is that nobody is watching at the moment they do.

CampHawk watches Ellenwood Lake Provincial Park in Deerfield, NS for you. We recheck it every 15 seconds, around the clock, and the moment a site opens we send a text, an email and a push notification, with a link straight to the booking page.
