Turtle Mountain Provincial Park — William Lake Campground

October 2026
About
The hills of the Turtle Mountains are dotted with over 200 lakes, and the area is host to a wealth of wildlife. For those familiar with the prairies of Manitoba, the view from the Turtle Mountains gives quite a different perspective, as the hills rise 245 metres above the plains. Try your luck at catching some trout or perch while at William Lake, or spend the day on the beach or at the day use area. Another highlight is the 7.5 kilometres of hiking trails, especially the Turtles Back hiking trail, which features a lookout tower. The campsites in the campground offer basic camping opportunities.

Is Turtle Mountain Provincial Park — William Lake Campground fully booked?
A campground showing no availability is almost never full for good. People cancel — plans change, weather turns, someone books three weekends and keeps one — and the site goes straight back into the booking system, usually without warning and often at odd hours. The reason sold-out campgrounds feel impossible is not that sites never free up; it is that nobody is watching at the moment they do.
CampHawk watches Turtle Mountain Provincial Park — William Lake Campground in MB for you. We recheck it every 15 seconds, around the clock, and the moment a site opens we send a text, an email and a push notification, with a link straight to the booking page.
